Our dressing gowns, with their tailored, sartorial silhouette, are a daring reinterpretation of our heritage silks.
Our 'Holbein' silk, features as the main fabric. Originally a 17th-century handwoven silk, this pattern of lush foliage initially features in the backdrop of the Baptism of Louis XIV, a Le Brun tapestry dating to circa 1630. Since Bodley, a founder of Watts, redrew the fabric in 1890, its popularity has endured and remains as alluring as ever.
Every dressing gown is handmade to order by our in-house team of specialist, artisan producers, in our Westminster atelier. Please note that this sample is a 'one-off' piece.
